Brad A. Schlossberg

Attorney Brad A. Schlossberg has been in practice for over twenty years with a focus on education and school law, as well as a diverse background in employment law, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, insurance litigation and appellate practice.

Mr. Schlossberg’s role as an advocate and voice for students and patents in paramount in his practice. He represents students and special education students in all aspects of education and school law. Sometimes, all that is necessary is a consultation to advise parents of their rights. Often a more hands-on approach is necessary, with Mr. Schlossberg representing students at CPSE meetings, CSE meetings, due process hearings, residency hearings and disciplinary hearings. At the graduate and post graduate level, Mr. Schlossberg represents students at disciplinary hearings, on grade appeals and in defense of charges of school code violations. He has successfully defended clients in the face of suspension and expulsion and has had clients reinstated to undergraduate and graduate programs, including law schools, medical schools and Ph.D. programs.

Mr. Schlossberg is also a member of Berger, Fischoff & Shumer’s litigation team. He has handled numerous and diverse cases and appeals to successful conclusion in all aspects of employment, insurance, commercial, and real estate litigation.

Mr. Schlossberg received his bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University in 1991 and his law degree from St. John’s University in 1996. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York and in the District of New Jersey.
